OVERVIEW
Alfred Garnes is a working-class sailor who has recently become the father of a third child. He and his childhood friend, Sigbjørn Kvalen, are working on a merchant ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean when World War II breaks out. Unarmed civilians at the forefront of a war they never wanted to participate in. The two men struggle to survive in a spiral of violence and death, where German submarines can attack their precious ships at any moment. War sailors have only one goal: to survive and return home. A 3-part limited series adaptation of War Sailor, one of Norway’s biggest cinema hits in 2022. The new series features new and never-before-seen footage.
