ATTRAKT’s CEO reportedly was prepared to invest a lot in FIFTY FIFTY.

Vanessa Mi Kyung Lee is one of Hollywood’s highest paid movie costume fabricators. Fabricators cover many steps of overall costume design, from sculpting and designing, to creation. She has famously worked on the costumes for Marvel’s Superman, Iron Man, Thor, and Spider-Man.

ATTRACTION’s CEO has allegedly contacted Vanessa Lee, planning to entrust FIFTY FIFTY’s costumes to her. As a highly sought-after fabricator, Vanessa was unable to fit FIFTY FIFTY into her schedule. Despite this, she decided to speak up for ATTRAKT’s CEO, touched by how much he was willing to invest in the group. Vanessa Lee took to Twitter to talk about the matter.

I wasn’t going to say this, but it was the first time that a company (ATTRAKT) wanted to hire a fabricating company, so expensive that even top American singers can’t hire, that works on special effects costumes for Hollywood, for idols’ costumes. I couldn’t do it because of my schedule, but I will definitely help at all costs for the second FIFTY FIFTY. Fighting!

This comes at a time where many are encouraging ATTRAKT’s CEO to recreate FIFTY FIFTY with new members.

Vanessa Lee also discussed the idea of a “buy out.” She jumped into the discussion as FIFTY FIFTY’s legal dispute involved Warner Music Korea trying to buy out the group in a deal with producer Ahn Sung Il (The Givers), without the knowledge of ATTRAKT’s CEO.

A “buy out” is a specialized word used in Hollywood’s entertainment industry. To put it positively, it is a deal where a party provides all the monetary support for production, at the same time, all the profits from the rights, copyrights, etc, won’t be given to the artist and company any more. To put it simply, it’s like a “take this money and take your hands off,” type of thing. Even my own daughter, who is a nameless actress, never lets her go to auditions with buy outs.
