Since the start of the year, YG Entertainment has been gradually unveiling the members of their upcoming new girl group BABYMONSTER. Through individual teasers showcasing their distinctive skills and daily experiences as trainees, fans were introduced to the seven potential members named Hand, Pharita, Spit, Asa, Chiquita, Ahyeonand Haram.

YG Entertainment decided that the seven trainees will undergo a “final evaluation” to assess their status in the upcoming group and determine the ultimate member line-up.

During the first episode of the new series, BLACKPINK‘s Jennie made a guest appearance as a surprise mentor to help monitor the girls’ performance skills and give them advice about what it takes to be a successful idol. Not only were the trainees themselves over the moon to see their senior artist…

…fans were also hyped up for the surprise appearance! Specifically, Jennie made waves online for her serious “mentor” gaze.

While she might give off a serious vibe, Jennie’s kind and genuine words of advice to the girls proves why she’s so successful today.

The contrast of her serious appearance and kind heart is a perfect example of Jennie’s lovable duality — and makes fans fall even more for her!
