Elle is a TREASURE MAKER from the Philippines. She shares about her journey as a fan of TREASURE, her favorite episodes with members, and how the group has helped her get through hard times.

Check out her interview below.

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

I’m better known in the fandom as Elle (@matetsushi) and I’m from the Philippines. I created my fan account on Twitter after a friend introduced them to me and I’ve been active ever since then.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

Way back in 2020, I saw their ‘GOING CRAZY’ vertical cam on a random page on Facebook and was just mesmerized by their amazing vocals so I checked them out on YouTube. It was the day of their debut (August 7, 2020) that I decided to be a fan after I watched their debut music video, BOY. It sure was an unforgettable moment for me who’s entering a fandom for the first time.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

There are a lot of reasons why they have a special place in my heart. First of all, they are all so talented. They have amazing vocalists, great dancers, awesome rappers and also, they can act. They’re also a bunch of comedians, they’re funny without even trying. They have great personalities, humble and kind. It’s also the reason why I’m so proud to be a TREASURE MAKER. One thing that I want to mention also is how they saved me from a difficult time and to be honest, they still are, that’s why I’m so thankful that they existed in this world. I’ve never really imagined myself being a fan of a K-Pop group because I’m not into it back then. They’re the reason why I started to like K-Pop in general. TREASURE became my first love in K-Pop.

Who caught your attention at first and why?

Mashiho was the one who caught my attention first. I find him so adorable in “TREASURE Map” Episode 9 where he was saying “Hamburger” while they were playing a game where he needs to relay a certain word while also wearing headphones. He also has that unique visual that made me gush over him.

What is your best souvenir with your favorite group until now?

As a Filipino TREASURE MAKER, my best souvenir would be that time when I taught Park JiHoon the Tagalog word “Pogi” on Weverse. which means “Handsome”, and I also introduced a staple comfort food here in the Philippines, which is a Filipino version of congee called “Arroz Caldo”.

What is your favorite group/bias’ influence on your daily life?

They don’t only bring me constant happiness but they also motivate me to work harder for my future. They raised my standards so high that I started to dream of much more good things in life. I became a person who wants to strive hard for my goals because they are my inspiration.

What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying?

It would interacting with my fellow TREASURE MAKERS, and having the best conversations about TREASURE. I think being in a place where everyone can understand you and what you have to say is essential for being a fangirl/fanboy.

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

“Never lose your smile
We’ll come back to the day we were happy
We’re gonna be okay.”
‘My Treasure’ by TREASURE. This is actually a healing song for me because of its lyrics, I listen to it all the time especially when I’m feeling down.

If you could spend the day with them, what would you want to do together?

I want to go on a picnic with them! I think it’ll be fun to just talk to them about random things. I want to compliment and thank them, saying all the good words while eating delicious foods together.

Describe them in 5 words.

MY HAPPINESS AND MY HOME.
