15 K-Dramas That Are Different To Their Webtoons

A lot of K-Dramas are actually based on existing webtoons and vice versa. Some K-Dramas are so good that they later get adapted into webtoons. However, webtoons and K-Dramas are very different. The writers of both often try to tell the story in a way that is exciting for their different audiences.

Over time, we have noticed some differences between the K-Drama version and the webtoon version of some popular K-Dramas. So we have started a series showcasing the differences between the storylines, the characters, and even some of the most iconic scenes.

Here is a list of webtoons and K-Dramas that are different from each other. There are articles linked under each one that goes into detail about what the exact differences are.

What the drama is about: It tells the mysterious story of the only female painter in the Joseon Dynasty (played by Kim YooJung) who befalls a terrible fate after entering the palace.

What the drama is about: It is about a 999-year-old gumiho (Korean nine-tailed fox played by Jang KiYong) and a female university student born in 1999 (played by HyeRi) who end up living together because she swallowed his sacred bead.

What the drama is about: The relatable story of Kim YuMi (played by Kim GoEun) and her ordinary life as an office worker. However, her emotions are conveyed to us through the perspective of the cells in her head.

What the drama is about: It is the secret court romance drama of a woman who was abandoned because she was born as a girl (played by Park EunBin). When her twin brother died, she began to pretend to be him: the crown prince while trying to keep her identity and affection for her first love (played by SF9’s RoWoon).

What the drama is about: The story of a supernatural phenomenon in which people are sentenced to hell from the messengers of hell who appear without notice, and the religious organization Saejinrihae, which was revived in this chaos, and those trying to uncover the truth of the incident are intertwined. The drama stars Yoo AhIn and Won JinA.
