XODIAC Drops Pre-Debut English Track “Calling”
Six of the 17 members of trainee group OCJ NEWBIES will be making their debut soon as the group XODIAC. Building up the anticipation for their debut, the six trainees – LEX, HYUNSIK, BEOMSOO, SING, WAIN, and DAVIN – released their pre-debut English single, “Calling,” this week.
Previously appearing in the public eye when they graced the covers of magazines Cosmopolitan HK, ELLE MEN HK, Harper’s Bazaar HK, and Men’s Uno HK the release shows off the group’s vocals and rap in addition to their enticing visuals. In addition, the group already has a few awards under their belt, an accomplishment unseen before for a rookie pre-debut group. The group recently won “Potential New Boy Group,” and leader LEX also received the “Fashion Rookie” award.
Highlighting each member of the group, “Calling” is a fun and bright song paired with a fun, synchronized choreography. With lyrics that are easy to listen to and relatable, the song describes common problems people face in relationships. The music video also features high fashion brands, suitable for the group who made their first appearances through fashion magazines. The video was filmed in Hong Kong’s Disneyland, tying everything together with a youthful innocence for the upcoming group.
