A user had the opportunity to participate with more than one photo in the event, where more than 80 thousand photos from 56 countries competed. 15 local finalists from each country were determined, and in the final stage, 10 photographs in the landscape category and 10 photographs in the micro category won awards.
The landscape winner of the competition was the bird’s eye view photo of Burdur Lake. The third place was taken by the Kaçkar Mountains, the fourth place by the Hürmetçi Marshes, specifically the Erciyes Mountain, the eighth place by the Karagül National Park, and the tenth place by the photo of Yedigöller National Park. Thus, 5 landscapes from Turkey were selected in the category.
In the micro category, the photograph of praying mantises in Kapıçam National Park ranked third, while the photograph of chameleons ranked seventh. The awards of the competition will be distributed at a ceremony to be held via Zoom on December 19.
