VodafoneVodafone Türkiye, one of the leading telecommunication companies, announced the results of the first half of the 2024-2025 fiscal year (April-September 2024). Announcing that its service revenues reached 42.1 billion TL in this period, the company stated that its Earnings Before Interest, Depreciation and Tax (EBITDA) was 15.0 billion TL*.
Service revenues, adjusted for the effect of IAS 29 (International Accounting Standard on Financial Reporting in High-Inflation Economies 29), were recorded as 39.5 billion TL, and EBITDA was recorded as 17.1 billion TL.
While the number of Vodafone Turkey’s mobile subscribers reached 25.4 million, the total number of mobile subscribers, including M2M (Machine Inter-Machine Communication), reached 30.4 million. The company increased the number of postpaid subscribers to 20.2 million. Vodafone Turkey, which continues to work with the aim of providing the best service to its customers in broadband technologies, reached 1.4 million fixed broadband subscribers.
In the statement made by the company, the growth of digital services was also emphasized and it was stated that the number of monthly active customers using digital channels such as Vodafone Yandım and Online Self Service reached 17.6 million. In addition, it was emphasized that the total monthly interaction of customers using the company’s digital channels reached 304 million, indicating an increase in data usage. It was announced that in the first 6 months of the fiscal year, the total mobile data usage of Vodafone Türkiye customers increased to 2,520 petabytes.
According to the statement, the total number of users using the products of Vodafone’s new generation mobile finance solution, Vodafone Pay, reached 8.3 million. The number of monthly unique users of TOBi, the company’s personal digital assistant that can perform nearly 1,000 different transactions, was 8.5 million and the number of monthly chats was 30 million.
Vodafone Turkey CEO Engin Aksoy evaluated the first half results of the 2024-25 fiscal year as follows: “As Vodafone, we continue to contribute to Turkey’s digital and sustainable future. In the first half of our fiscal year, our service revenues amounted to 42.1 billion TL*. During this period, the number of monthly active customers using our digital channels reached 17.6 million. “We will continue to work with all our strength together with our stakeholders to bring the economic and social opportunities offered by technology to our country in the most effective way and to bring Turkey to its deserved place in the digitalization league.”
