
“UK K-POP Competition 2023” Official
Heads up, K-Pop fans in UK! Mark your calendars for a spectacular event that’s set to blend Korean culture and the performing arts with the heart of the United Kingdom. On Sunday, December 3, 2023, The Euro Journal joins forces with the notable Korean events organizer, Woogie (Wook Kim), to present the “UK K-POP Competition.”
Woogie (Wook Kim), a key figure responsible for introducing and promoting Korean culture and arts in the UK and Europe since mid-2018, is bringing together an eclectic group of talented choreographers from both South Korea and the UK to judge UK-based dance groups dedicated to the vibrant world of Korean music.
The competition will be judged by international choreographer Jay Kim, producer JunYoung Kim, and producer AZODi.
Jay Kim is a former 1Million Dance Studio Instructor, former Millennium Dance in Singapore Instructor, former Loen Entertainment Dance Trainer, and former Forest Entertainment Dance Trainer.
JunYoung Kim is a producer from Polaris Entertainment, BlockBerry Creative, and NEWTYPE Ent, the CEO of Studio 25 (Content/Advertisement Production Company), and the CEO of The Waves Inc. (Music Publishing Company). He’s known for his work on projects like “Produce 101 Season 2″‘s group song for finals, ‘이자리에’, Wanna One’s ‘이자리에’ (ACOUSTIC.VER), Park JiHoon’s ‘Hurricane’, INFINITE’s ‘CLOCK’, Golden Child’s ‘No Matter What’, DRIPPIN’s ‘FATE’, TO1’s ‘Hello, Goodbye’, NMIXX’s ‘O.O’ (Guitar arrangement and session performance), ARTMS HeeJin’s ‘HONESTLY’, and ATBO’s ‘Good Vibes Only’.
Lastly, AZODi is is a producer and songwriter specializing in K-Pop and Pop. He wrote the lead track ‘On My Way’ for Kim WooJin’s album “The Moment: Bounce,” which featured live performances of the song on Korea’s biggest TV stations. He was awarded a plaque by SM Entertainment/Pink Blood for “Creator of the Month” in February for his K-PopRock flip of NCT127’s ‘Hey Yo’.
