Trump makes his second crypto move

Bakkt exchange will belong to Trump

According to information received, Trump Media and Technology Group (owned by Donald Trump)TMTG) started negotiations to acquire Bakkt, the cryptocurrency exchange owned by Intercontinental Exchange. This move is Trump’s second major initiative in the crypto space in recent weeks.

Trump, who founded his own social media initiative called Truth Social within TMTG after being banned from the Twitter platform, returned after Elon Musk. At that time, Truth Social suffered great losses and financial losses. However, Trump later founded a content platform called Truth + TV and increased the activities of TMTG company.

The value of TMTG company is around 6.79 billion dollars. Trump owns a 59% stake in this company (114.75 million shares). The current market value of Bakkt, which is traded on the New York Stock Exchange, is around $400 million. It is estimated that Trump will open the WLF project to trading on this exchange. With the news, Bakkt shares increased approximately 3 times and reached the $30 mark.
