Trump announced: $500 billion investment in the USA’s artificial intelligence infrastructure
US President Donald Trump held a press conference on the subject with the participation of OpenAI Chief Executive Sam Altman, SoftBank Chief Executive Masayoshi Son and Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison.
Announcing that OpenAI, Oracle and SoftBank will form a joint venture called Stargate, Trump stated that at least 500 billion dollars will be invested in the artificial intelligence infrastructure of the USA with this joint venture.

Trump described the investment in question as “the largest artificial intelligence infrastructure project in history” and noted that it is expected to create employment for more than 100 thousand Americans.
Stating that he will help realize the investment with emergency decisions, Trump said, “They need to produce a lot of electricity, and we will make it possible for them to produce this production very easily in their own facilities.”
“Stargate will build the physical and virtual infrastructure to support the next generation of developments in artificial intelligence, including the construction of massive data centers,” Trump said.
Oracle Chairman Ellison, who was given the right to speak by Trump, also shared the information that the first of the group’s data centers is under construction in Texas.

Answering questions from members of the press, Trump answered the question of whether he planned to impose tariffs to bring forward the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) negotiations, saying “It has nothing to do with it.”
Trump claimed that Mexico and Canada allowed a large number of people who should not be in the United States to cross the border, even though they could have stopped this, and noted that a large amount of fentanyl was entering the United States from these countries.
US President Trump stated that in his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, he said that he did not want to see this “nonsense” (fentanyl) in the country.
Trump reiterated that they are considering imposing a 10 percent customs duty on China for the fentanyl they send to Mexico and Canada, and stated that they are considering a February 1 date for tariffs.
HE WAS FACING ELON MUSK’S PURCHASE OF TIKTOK
On the other hand, when asked whether he was positive about Elon Musk purchasing TikTok, Trump stated that he was open to the idea of Musk or Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison purchasing the company.
At the end of the meeting, Trump, who also stated that he could download TikTok to his phone, said, “We won the votes of the young people. I think I won thanks to TikTok, that’s why TikTok has a special place in my heart.”
