Apple’s iOS 18.2 integrated into the “Find My” system with the update Share Item Location The feature called (Share Item Location) allows the location of AirTag-mounted items or accessories to be securely shared with friends or airlines. Apple announced in its statement that this system will help passengers find their lost belongings by collaborating with more than 15 airline companies, including THY. Share Item Location is compatible with all Apple devices and items tracked with AirTag.
This feature of Apple is available to THY passengers with the arrival of iOS 18.2. THY Board of Directors and Executive Committee Chairman Bolat made a statement on the subject: “With the release of iOS 18.2, our passengers will now be able to share the location information of their baggage, which contains AirTag or Find My supported devices and has a problem, with our relevant teams.” he said.
In the statement made by THY, the following statements were made: “Our guests can now use this new feature to privately and securely share the location of their AirTag or Find My network accessories with Turkish Airlines customer service. This enables faster identification of lost or delayed bags and helps reunite them with their owners. The location information you share is stored by THY for 7 days and then automatically deleted. Or, this information can be removed by the passenger whenever you want. Although this feature is currently available on the website, it will soon be available through THY’s mobile application.
