The “Approved Bodies and Technical Services Communiqué” prepared by the Ministry came into force after being published in the Official Gazette.
In this context, a regulation was made with the Ministry regarding the obligations that these organizations and technical personnel must comply with.
Accordingly, the applications made by the relevant organizations with the necessary information and documents will be examined by the Ministry, and if missing or incorrect documents or incorrect information are detected, the organization will be given 20 working days to correct these deficiencies. If the requested correction is not made by the end of this period, the application will be returned and will not be evaluated for at least 6 months.
The organization will need to be accredited to the Turkish Accreditation Agency within the scope of the technical regulation underlying the application.
The final decision regarding the appointment of the organization will be made by the Ministry, taking into account the needs of the country’s industry, the level reached in conformity assessment, the sustainability of conformity assessment activities, the technical and administrative infrastructure and technical competence of the organization, its performance and evaluation results and complaints.
The assignment will begin with the publication of the notification for the notified body in the European Union New Approach Notified Bodies Information System, and for technical services in the Notified Bodies and Technical Services Information System (ONTEK).
The performance of the organization will be monitored and evaluated by the Ministry at certain periods, and the results will be shared with the public.
The organization will be inspected at least once a year by the Ministry to determine whether it maintains the requirements based on its assignment and any deficiencies or inadequacies identified as a result of the performance evaluation. Deficiencies or inadequacies detected during the audit will be recorded by the Ministry and organization officials. If the organization does not complete the identified deficiencies within 20 business days, its activities will be stopped through ONTEK for the same period, and the assignment of the organization whose deficiencies are not completed during this period will be cancelled.
