The electric version of the Maextro S800 has a three-motor configuration. While there is a 160 kW electric motor on the front axle of the car, there are two motors at the rear, each producing 237 kW power. The model in question has a NMC (nickel manganese cobalt) battery sourced from CATL, but the capacity and range values have not been announced yet.
The EREV version, on the other hand, hosts a 1.5 liter gasoline engine as well as two electric motors located on the front and rear axles. The gasoline engine alone produces 155 horsepower, but its duty is only to charge the battery. The wheels are powered only by electric motors. Of these engines, the front one produces 160 kW and the rear one produces 230 kW.
The EREV version of Maextro S800 has an NMC battery and its capacity is announced as 63.2 kWh. This gives the car a pure electric driving range of up to 371 kilometers according to CLTC. The gasoline engine can charge the battery like a generator and increase the range, but the total range has not been announced yet. The length of the Maextro S800 is close to 5.5 meters. Its dry weight is 2731 kg in both electric and EREV versions.
Maextro S800 went on pre-sale in China in November. The price of the car starts from 138 thousand dollars.
