Old Man’s War, John Scalzi’nin from the science fiction novel of the same name will be adapted. Scalzi’s novel, translated into Turkish as The Old Man’s War, became a bestseller and started a new science-fiction series.
The Old Man’s War Takes Place During an Intergalactic War
Set in a future where humanity has spread across the galaxy, The Old Man’s War focuses on 75-year-old John Perry. Having lost first his wife and then his close friend, Perry makes a radical decision to enlist in the army. Agreeing to have his consciousness transferred to a younger body to participate in the intergalactic war, Perry goes to fight aliens in his new genetically enhanced body. However, a much different war awaits him on the front.
It has been rumored for a long time that Steven Spielberg would make a movie based on Old Man’s War. However, since the director was working on many projects at the same time, it was not known when he would implement this adaptation. This latest news shows that the director will move on to Old Man’s War after completing The Dish. This means that the movie will go on set in 2026 or 2027. Because the director will be busy shooting The Dish next year.
