Smart Solar Technologies has implemented Turkey’s second solar cell production facility in Aliağa district of Izmir, with an investment of 414 million dollars. This facility will offer a fully integrated structure, starting from silicon, covering ingot, wafer, cell and photovoltaic solar panel production processes.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Smart Solar Technologies, who explained that they commissioned the first panel factory in 2017. Halil Demirdag, “The facility we opened here today has an annual panel production capacity of 1,200 megawatts in a closed area of ​​55 thousand square meters and offers added value to the energy sector with our 800 megawatt cell production line, which we commissioned in July 2024. With the investment made, 704 qualified personnel are employed under this roof alone. “When our integrated production facility reaches full capacity, we will employ 3,100 people.” he said.
