Segway introduced two new e-bike models at CES 2025: Off-road monster Xyber and classic-modern Xafari. Both models offer the user advanced smart technology and superior performance.
Xyber is an impressive model that combines aesthetics and functionality. Xyber, which resembles a dirt bike with its design, draws attention with its high performance. Offering maximum torque of up to 175 Nm and peak power of up to 6,000 watts, this model can reach a speed of 35 mph in a dual battery configuration. There are three throttle modes: Eco, Sport and Race. Especially in Race mode, it can accelerate from 0 to 20 mph in just 2.7 seconds.
Xyber can travel 112 miles on a single charge with its 20 x 5 inch thick tires and 12 different pedal-assist levels. Equipped with Segway’s Intelligent Driving System (IRS), Xyber comes with features such as AirLock, Apple Find My and Segway GPS. Smart light system, health and fitness data synchronization, remote update and control features via IOT are also available.
However, the current version of Xyber is not road legal. Segway has stated that it will release a road-legal version that complies with federal Class 2 e-bike regulations in the spring or summer of this year.
The Xafari is a classic step-down bike model with a design that appeals to all types of cyclists. It offers a comfortable ride on all kinds of surfaces with its 26 x 3 inch tires and adjustable suspension system. Its 936 KW battery has the capacity to travel 88 miles on a single charge and can be charged indoors with its removable structure.
Xafari allows you to charge your phone with a USB port and an easily adjustable phone holder. Additionally, you can view information such as navigation, music and range on the integrated smart screen. It comes with a handy rear-mounted rack and hard and soft cases integrated into the body for extra storage.
Both models include Segway’s Intelligent Driving System (IRS), which includes features like AirLock, Apple Find My, and Segway GPS. IRS includes the bike’s smart light system, systems that sync health and fitness data, and remote update and control features via IoT.
