According to market research conducted by Trendforce DRAM The market made sales of 26 billion dollars in the third quarter of the year, increasing by 13.6 percent on a quarterly basis. Even though Samsung continues its leadership, the threat is now increasing.
Samsung’s sales of DRAM products in the last quarter were 10.7 billion dollars, increasing by 9 percent. SK Hynix increased by 13 percent with sales of around $9 billion, narrowing the gap with Samsung. Although there is still a big difference in terms of market share, SK Hynix may take the lead in the near future, especially thanks to HBM memory sales.
Micron also showed a remarkable increase of 28 percent in this period, with sales of $5.7 billion. It appears that companies outside this trio have experienced major declines. It can be seen from the tables that certain companies have actually been able to catch the artificial intelligence storm.
