PTT General Directorate made a statement regarding the inappropriate messages sent to users via the HGS application. The statement included the following statements:
“In the evening hours, there was an unauthorized access to the message service of our HGS mobile application from abroad, and in this context, it was determined that notifications unrelated to our Company were sent to some users.
Upon detection of the incident, our security systems were quickly activated and the necessary technical and operational measures were implemented.
During this unauthorized intervention, there was no data loss or user information falling into the hands of unauthorized persons.
Additionally, a legal process has been initiated in cooperation with legal authorities.
