Over 120 Confirmed Deaths At The Itaewon Halloween Emergency

In a live briefing at the Itaewon site of the tragic Halloween emergency, the South Korean National Fire Agency confirmed that there have been 120 confirmed deaths and 100 injured. MBC has reported that most confirmed dead are female persons in their 20s.

The head firefighter of the Yongsan Fire Station also commented that “the number of casualties will rise, as some of the rescued individuals who have been hospitalized are in critical condition.” All personnel in Itaewon is currently searching for additional rescues in the areas around the Hamilton Hotel.

Yongsan Fire Station commented, “The firefighters are working on identifying the victims.”
