Oppo’s new foldable smartphone Find N5 is preparing to be released in February. New leaks that emerged after the official launches offer a clearer look at the design of the device. The images shared on the Chinese social media platform Weibo show both the front screen and the rear camera module of the device in detail.
According to the images, the Oppo Find N5 has a thickness of approximately 9.2 mm when folded. With this measurement, the device is touted as the world’s thinnest foldable phone. Another striking detail in the new design is that the rear camera protrusion has been significantly reduced. The matte texture on the side frame of the device offers a stylish look and feel. Other details of the design include an alert slider on the left, volume control keys and a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button on the right.
On the front, there is a flat OLED screen. For audio performance, there are stereo speakers at the top and bottom of the device. At the bottom there is a USB-C port and SIM card slot. However, the leaker’s thumb prevented this part from being seen clearly. In addition, the microphone of the device is positioned at the bottom.
These images were leaked by Chen Zhen, known from the automotive world. It is known that Zhen has been on the agenda with similar leaks in the past. However, this leak caused controversy regarding Oppo. The images were allegedly delivered to Zhen by another person who shared a test device in violation of a confidentiality agreement. There is also speculation among Weibo users that this leak may be a promotional strategy. Oppo and Chen Zhen have not made an official statement on the subject.
