Turkey renewable energy Renewable energy welding areas (YEKA) competitions (different versions of the tender) are of great importance for the increase in their capacity. JESUS RES-2024 The wind YEKA was concluded.

In Turkey, the solar energy capacity increased by 73 percent in 2024 and reached 19.618 MW, while wind energy increased by only 6.5 percent and 12,576 MW was reached. With the New Reka Competition 1.200 A new capacity allocation was made.

With YEKA Res-2024, 5 different wind power plants will be established in Edirne, Kırklareli and Sivas cities. For 5 power plants, requests were received separately. With the new tender model, 100 applications came from 40 companies. Winning companies will invest a total of 1.2 billion dollars.

Energy Minister Bayraktar: We will reflect cheap electricity to the citizen

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan BayraktarYEKA Res-2024 competition organized by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. In the new YEKA model, Bayraktar stated that there is the opportunity to sell to the market for 6 years after the project was activated, “The next 20 years there is a 3.50 cents/dollar kilowatt -hours price. 8 billion dollars of natural gas imports will be prevented

4.5 billion kilowatt-hours electricity will be produced in 5 different RES, which will be built with YEKA Res-2024, and electricity needs of 2 million households will be met. The first 6 years will be available to the market, after 20 years in 20 years/dollar kilowatt -hours price will be sold. Thanks to the electricity to be obtained from the wind, 800 million cubic meters of imports will be prevented in natural gas. If we calculate for $ 400 million years old in 20 years about 8 billion dollars Natural gas imports will be prevented.

Sun Resi will be held next week

Applications for the YEKA GES-2024 competition began to be received. In Konya, Karaman, Malatya, Van, Antalya and Kütahya Total 800 megawatts Capacity will be allocated. Minister Bayraktar announced that this competition will be concluded next week.

10 New YEKA AREAS DETERMINED

With the decision published in the Official Gazette on 28 January 2025, 10 new YEKA regions were determined. 5 of Karaman’s Ayrancı and Central Districts, 1 of the Beypazarı district of Ankara, 1 of the Gerede district of Bolu, 2 of Erzurum Çat and Karayazı districts and 1 in Elbistan district of Kahramanmaraş A total of 10 new YEKAs were declared. Solar and wind power plants will be established in these areas.
