The new HS model of MG, represented by Doğan Trend Otomotiv in Turkey, with a 170 horsepower 1.5 liter turbo gasoline engine, passed the Euro NCAP tests with 5 stars. New MG HS; It achieved 90 percent success in adult passenger protection, 85 percent in child passenger protection, 83 percent in other road users category and 74 percent in safety aids category.

In the evaluation made by Euro NCAP, “When Euro NCAP last tested MG’s largest vehicle, HS, in 2019, it received 5 stars. Euro NCAP protocols have been upgraded twice since then. MG, on the other hand, updated the HS model with new technologies to reach a 5 Star rating in 2024. This demonstrates the continuing impact of Euro NCAP on vehicle safety and the willingness of manufacturers such as MG to respond by pushing their cars to higher levels of performance.

In the new HS model, MG has introduced features such as Automatic Emergency Braking System with Pedestrian and Bicycle Detection, Lane Tracking System with Lane Violation Warning, Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change Support, Driver Distraction Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Warning and Door Opening Warning. It offers the advanced MG Pilot Technological Driving Support System, which includes standard equipment. Within the scope of MG Pilot, which allows semi-autonomous driving; Adaptive Cruise Control and Traffic Driving System are also offered as standard in the new HS model.

The price of the new MG HS in Türkiye was announced as 1,990,000 TL. The 339 horsepower rechargeable hybrid version is 2,090,000 TL because it falls within the 30 percent Special Consumption Tax bracket. As a reminder, an additional 40 percent customs duty is applied to cars imported from China, regardless of engine type.
