Marc Merrill, one of the founders of Riot Games, the studio behind League of Legends, replied to a user who asked why Arcane would not continue in X: “Because there are many other stories to be told in this universe.” Stating that they could focus on stories other than the League of Legends mythology, Merrill signaled that preparations in this direction may have already begun.

Although Arcane is the most expensive animated series in history with a budget of $250 million, its return to Netflix was just as high. The series, which reached very high viewing figures especially with its first season, crowned this success with awards.
