New features coming with macOS Sequoia 15.2
macOS 15.2 brings new Apple Intelligence features to Mac models with M1, M2, M3 and M4 processors. Here are the most important macOS Sequoia 15.2 features:
Image Playground
Image Playgroundis a new app that lets you create fun, playful images in multiple styles using concepts, descriptions, and people from your photo library.
- Scroll through previews and make selections as you add concepts to your playground
- Choose from animation and drawing styles when creating your image
- Create messages and images in Freeform and third-party apps
- Images sync to your Image Playground library on all your devices via iCloud
ChatGPT support
- ChatGPT can be accessed directly from Siri or Authoring Tools
- Create in Authoring Tools lets you create something from scratch with ChatGPT
- Siri can access ChatGPT to provide you with a response when relevant
- No ChatGPT account is required and your requests will be anonymous and will not be used to train OpenAI models
- Log in with ChatGPT to access your account benefits
Photos
- The Favorites album appears in the Utilities collection in addition to Pinned Collections
- Last Viewed and Last Shared Album history can be cleared
Safari
- To customize your Safari Start Page new background images
- Secure on all websites Using HTTPS
- For history, bookmarks and passwords simplified import and export
Bug fixes and improvements
- Share Item Location in Findhelps you locate and recover misplaced items by easily and securely sharing the location of your AirTag or Find Me network accessory with trusted third parties (e.g. airlines)
- Natural language search in Apple Music and Apple TV appallows you to describe what you’re looking for using any combination of categories, such as genres, moods, actors, years, and more
- Favorite Categories in Podcastsallows you to choose your favorite categories and get related show recommendations that you can easily access in your library
- In podcast highlights Personalized Search page most relevant categories and editorial collections curated specifically for you
- News+ Puzzles Sudoku for is available in three difficulty levels and is available for News+ subscribers
- Server preview lets you choose what to share (an app or your entire screen) before sharing when you connect to an external display or use AirPlay
- Pre-market quotes on stocks allow you to track NASDAQ and NYSE prices before the market opens
- Weather in menu barlets you get up-to-date weather conditions from the menu bar on your Mac and click to quickly access detailed forecasts
There are two features that come with iOS 18.2 RC but are not yet available on Macs: Genmoji and Mail app categories and summaries.
