Music will soon be added to WhatsApp status updates

WhatsApp with music button added to status editor users get access to Meta’s extensive library of tracks, the same as used on Instagram. With this integration, users will be able to create more interesting stories by adding their favorite songs or trending tracks to status updates.

Instagram and WhatsApp integration is increasing

After selecting a song, users can create a 15-second clip for the photos or customize the length based on the duration of the video. By displaying the song and artist name in the title, Switching to the artist’s Instagram profile directly via WhatsApp also becomes possible. Thus, a connection is established between the platforms owned by Meta.

Although the feature is currently limited to certain beta testers, WhatsApp is expected to gradually open the feature to everyone in the coming weeks.
