Minister Yerlikaya: Teknofest spirit is the future of Turkey – Current news
AK Party Ankara Youth Branch 7th Ordinary ‘Betül Önderoğlu’ Congress was held at Sinan Şamil Sam Indoor Sports Hall.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya, former Vice President Fuat Oktay, AK Party deputies, party mayors and youth branch members attended the congress. Speaking here, Minister Yerlikaya said, “You are the bright future of a holy cause that dates back a quarter of a century. You are all the youth of the Turkish Century, whose hearts beat for the independence and future of their country. The excitement in your eyes and the determination in your hearts further strengthens our belief in our future. Because, ‘A nation that gives up hope on its youth means that it has lost its future.’ We do not give up on our youth or our future. We are with you on this blessed path and we will continue to be with you. Because our youth are the keystones of the indestructible bridge we have built from the past to the future. In our civilization, youth is a spirit. “It is a claim, an ideal,” he said.
‘ALL OPPORTUNITIES WERE MOBILIZED FOR OUR YOUTH’
Minister Yerlikaya stated that many reforms from education to industry have been carried out since 2002 and continued his words as follows:
“Our esteemed President has always believed in the potential of our youth and every step to be taken for the youth; He saw it as ‘the guarantee of the Great and Powerful Turkey’. Saying ‘If there is faith, there is possibility’; Huge reforms were made in education. The number of universities increased. Dormitory capacities were expanded. Our capabilities in every field, from sports to music, from literature to painting, have been improved. All opportunities were mobilized to ensure that our young people received a better education. With our local and national investments and the steps we have taken in technology, today we have a youth that produces its own software and satellites. We have ‘Teknofest youth’ who give life to countless innovations, from unmanned aerial vehicles to artificial intelligence, from space technologies to environmental projects. And we know that the Teknofest spirit is the future of Turkey. Didn’t we increase our share in the defense industry from 20 percent to 80 percent? Didn’t we develop our own UAV, UCAV, Togg, domestic satellite? But these are just the beginning. Now it’s your turn.”
‘WE ARE ON THE NECK OF POISON MERCHANTS’
Minister Yerlikaya stated that they continue their work with the goal of ‘Terror-free Türkiye’ and said, “We are eliminating terrorism from our country. We destroy the dens of traitors. In these lands, we are fighting with the spirit of our history, stretching from Çanakkale to Malazgirt, against those who cannot digest the thousand-year-old law of brotherhood. We are always on the neck of poison merchants at all times. The cyber world is indispensable for our internet age. But be careful, be careful; Do not think that life consists of the virtual world. And don’t get lost in those dark corridors. Hold the hands of your brothers and sisters who are targeted by cyber bullies and save them. Let us know. Call 112. Search for; Let’s do what is necessary immediately. Know that; “We will be an iron fist against all threats targeting our youth,” he said.
