Meta will lay off poor performers

According to reports in the US press, Meta Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg, in his note to company employees, stated that this year will be busy and that he wants to make sure that the teams have the best employees.

Stating that he decided to raise the bar in performance management and remove low performers, Zuckerberg stated that they will make performance-based dismissals and that they intend to fill the vacant positions again in 2025.

“GENEROUS” SEVERANCE PAY

Zuckerberg noted that if they are optimistic about their future performance, they will not fire anyone who does not meet expectations, and that they will provide “generous” severance pay to terminated employees.

Stating that those affected by the layoffs will be notified on February 10, Zuckerberg stated that employees outside the USA will be informed later.

According to news in the US press based on the post of a Meta manager, 5 percent of the company’s employees will be affected by the layoffs.
