James Cameron signed an agreement with Meta for 3D VR projects

The master director signed an important agreement with Meta this week. Within the scope of this agreement, James Cameron and his company Lightstorm Vision will prepare 3D content for Meta’s VR title Meta Quest. But perhaps more importantly, Cameron will introduce this technology to the industry and lead efforts to expand its use in the cinema world.

James Cameron, who released a statement after the announcement of this agreement, said that he was amazed when he saw the technology developed by Meta. The master director thinks this technology has the potential to revolutionize things for content creators around the world. “We are at a historic turning point” in content creation, says Cameron.
One of the primary projects that Meta and James Cameron want to implement in the first phase is “creating world-class 3D entertainment experiences”. For this purpose, live sports broadcasts, concerts, movies and TV series will be prepared for Meta Quest. However, no concrete project has been announced for now.
