In the High Altitude System Performance Test held on June 25, 2024, it crossed another important threshold by reaching an altitude of 36,310 feet with the domestic PD-170 engine developed by TEI. The altitude record in Turkey’s national aviation history belongs to Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA and is recorded at 45 thousand 118 feet.
Bayraktar TB3 has completed more than 700 hours of test flights to date. In the long flight test carried out on December 20, 2023, the national UCAV managed to stay in the air for 32 hours and traveled 5,700 km.
Bayraktar TB3 UCAV flew for the first time on March 26, 2024, with ASELFLIR-500, developed nationally by Aselsan. Within the scope of the test, the integration of the ASELFLIR-500 Electro-Optical Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Targeting System, which has the highest performance compared to its equivalents in the world, was successfully carried out.
