Exclusive Review: NoSo Sells Out London For A Second Time

It was only a few months ago that NoSo (Hwang BaekHyun, they) performed their first sold-out show in London. Having released their debut album, “Stay Proud Of Me”, back in July 2022, and recently completing their first U.S. tour in November, NoSo returned to the UK for two headline shows in London and Manchester.

When fans learned they were coming back to London for a second time, not only did the show sell out again, it was relocated to a bigger venue!

The evening began with opener and London-based singer/songwriter and producer YAOUNDÉBOXINGCLUB. Their honest lyrics and upbeat guitar-driven melodies gave the crowd an energetic warm-up in anticipation for NoSo.

As NoSo entered the stage, joined by band members Jade Fink on bass and Jessy Reed on drums, the crowd fell to a hushed murmur as the musicians tuned their instruments. Then as the lights dimmed, London welcomed NoSo for the second time with enthusiastic cheers and applause.

As NoSo glided through each song, the room filled with the voices of the audience singing along to ‘Suburbia’, ‘Honey Understand’, and ‘David’. Each autobiographical track transports one into NoSo’s world, establishing a pathway through some of their most vulnerable life experiences with dreamy guitar-backed melodies, poignant lyrics, and soft beats. ‘Sorry I Laughed’, which features NoSo’s unaccompanied smooth vocals in the song’s earnest opening, blanketed the intimate venue in a hypnotic silence.

As the evening came to a close with the tender and sincere single, ‘Parasites’, it was as if the room was embraced in a warmth delivering the audience reassurance that it was safe to find solace in the moment as your most authentic self. After the show, NoSo was greeted by fans who expressed their gratitude and appreciation. We look forward to the next time NoSo performs in London.
