The “Communiqué on Environmentally Friendly Design Requirements for Domestic Clothes Dryers” and the “Communiqué on Energy Labeling of Domestic Clothes Dryers” prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology were published in the Official Gazette.
With these communiqués, the environmentally friendly design requirements of household tumble dryers placed on the market or put into service and the conditions for labeling and providing additional product information regarding the placing on the market or putting these machines into service were determined.
Accordingly, the rated capacity specified for the “eco” program in these products cannot be lower than the highest rated capacity specified among all cotton programs of the machine.
The expressions “normal”, “daily”, “regular” and “standard” and their translations in European Union (EU) languages cannot be used alone or with other information in the program names of the machines.
In these machines, energy consumption, condensation efficiency, program duration and final moisture content will be measured simultaneously.
Manufacturers, importers or authorized representatives will not be able to establish special test instructions that change the behavior or properties of the products in order to obtain a more positive result for any of the declared values of the parameters regulated in the communiqué.
These persons will also not be able to place on the market or put into service products designed to change the behavior or characteristics of the machines in question shortly after they are put into service in a way that would deteriorate any value.
– Products will be supplied with a label containing the QR code.
These products will be supplied with a label containing information such as QR code, trademark and model identifier. Suppliers, on the other hand, will ensure that the product information form is available in printed form, if specifically requested by the seller.
Visual advertising for a particular model of household tumble dryer, including on the Internet, must include the energy efficiency class of that model and the range of energy efficiency classes available on the label.
On the other hand, the “Communiqué on Environmentally Friendly Design Requirements Regarding the Electrical Energy Consumption of Hibernation, Closed and Networked Hibernation Positions of Home and Office Type Electrical-Electronic Devices” was also published in the Official Gazette.
With the communiqué, environmentally friendly design requirements regarding the electrical energy consumption of home and office type electrical and electronic devices placed on the market or put into service in hibernation, closed and networked hibernation states were determined.
Accordingly, the power consumption of the device in the off state cannot exceed 0.5 watts.
The manufacturer, importer or authorized representative will not be able to place on the market a device specifically designed to react by automatically changing the performance of products during testing.
