China’s competition institution is polls for a potential investigation of the fees received from Apple policies and application developers.
According to Bloomberg, the relevant institution examined Apple’s policies that involve a deduction of up to 30 %of in -app expenditures and to ban external payment services and stores. Since last year, the authorities of the Authority have held talks with Apple managers and application developers.
Sources speaking to Bloomberg said Chinese regulators believe that Apple demanded unreasonable high wages from local developers. Those concerned think that the prevention of third -party application stores and payment methods prevents competition and damages local consumers. If Apple resists changing changes, the government could initiate an official investigation.
