Asus’ highly anticipated new gaming phone, ROG Phone 9 FE, became a hot topic with leaked images and technical specifications before the official announcement. Although there is no statement from the company yet, the emerging details indicate that the launch of the device is very close.
ROG Phone 9 FE has a similar design to the Pro model of the series. The device, which is stated to come in the color option called Phantom Black, will be 8.9 mm thick and weigh 225 grams. AirTrigger controls, which are appreciated by game lovers, continue to be included in this model.
On the screen side, the device offers a 6.78-inch Full HD + resolution LTPO AMOLED panel. The screen, which comes with a 165Hz refresh rate as standard, can go up to 185Hz when the Game Genie mode is activated. Offering a maximum brightness of 2,500 nits, the screen provides a performance of 1,600 nits in HDR mode. The durability of the screen is increased with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The processor that powers the performance of the device is Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Equipped with 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.0 storage, the phone comes out of the box with the Android 15 operating system.
Camera features are also remarkable. The 50 MP resolution Sony IMX890 main camera is accompanied by an optical image stabilizer. While a 13 MP ultra wide angle and 5 MP macro lens are added to this camera, there is a 32 MP selfie camera on the front.
The phone provides long-term use with a 5,500 mAh capacity battery. 65W fast wired charging and wireless charging support are also among the features offered. Additionally, the device includes stereo speakers, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Hi-Res Audio support, Wi-Fi 7 connection and in-screen fingerprint reader. Water and dust resistance with IP68 certification also stands out as one of the strengths of this model.
This leaked information already shows that ROG Phone 9 FE will attract great attention with its powerful hardware and gaming-oriented features. The launch is expected to take place in the coming days.
