The report has netizens asking, “Do you know about TXT’s Eunwoo?”
On September 12 (local time), TXT and singer Anitta performed at the 2023 VMAs.
As expected, their performance stole the hearts of K-Pop fans and normal viewers of the event with their high-energy performance.
Yet, amidst the media outlets reporting about the performance, netizens couldn’t hide their reactions when an unexpected idol made an appearance with TXT, and it was none other than ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo… but with a hilarious plot twist.
On a New York news outlet, netizens noticed that under a photo of TXT’s performance from the event, the caption read that Cha Eunwoo was in the photo and had performed at the event.
Even when searching for Eunwoo and the VMAs, it was one of the first articles that came up as the ASTRO singer’s name came up on search engines.
In particular, they pointed out that it’s not the first time Eunwoo has made an appearance in another group, remembering when an outlet had mixed up the photos of ASTRO and MONSTA X.

Yet, it seems like the mistake itself didn’t come from the publication but the source of the photo. Netizens realized that the photo caption was taken from the original source, Getty Images.
In the caption of the OG photo, it seems like the photographer had got the names confused, and rather than writing Yeonjun, they had put Eunwoo’s name on the list of the members.
Of course, netizens would have loved to have seen Eunwoo at the event, but the reported appearance was hilariously inaccurate and even had the idol in a completely different group.
