Apple’s new generation in-car entertainment system CarPlay 2.0is preparing to present itself to vehicle users with important innovations. The long-developed version will offer a similar experience for users familiar with the Apple ecosystem. In the past hours, some images of Apple CarPlay 2.0 were shared.

For those who missed it, Apple shared the details of CarPlay 2.0 at the WDC event held in 2022 and stated that the new version would be released in a short time. However, the launch date has been constantly postponed and it is not available on any vehicle yet.

According to leaked details, CarPlay 2.0 will enrich users’ in-car experiences equipped with various widgets in case. While the quick application selection bar is preserved, drivers will have quick and easy access to the necessary information thanks to the added widgets.

Another development is that CarPlay 2.0 brings the layout that users are used to on their smartphones to vehicle screens. Apple has not yet announced the launch date for the new version. However, the company prefers to offer a completely new generation rather than improving the current CarPlay version. One reason for this may be that CarPlay 2.0 offers a much more comprehensive structure than the original version, becoming a system integrated with the control panels of vehicles.
