When it detects suspicious behavior, live threat detection will instantly alert users and prompt them to take immediate action to protect their devices. When the feature finds an unsafe app, it will send a notification with a link to Play Protect to help users remove the app from their devices.
Google says the feature can detect malicious apps trying to disguise themselves. Live threat detection will focus on applications that collect personal data without the user’s consent. Google guarantees that user data will not be collected and privacy will be protected.
