Market is recovering
Chineseonce again set a new monthly record for electric vehicle sales. October month 1.2 million vehicles China, which sells products, recorded a growth of 6 percent compared to the previous month and more than 50 percent compared to the same period last year. While China’s electric vehicle market has grown by 38 percent since the beginning of the year, the global market increased by 24 percent showed.

More than 260,000 electric vehicles were sold in the EU, EFTA and the UK in October 2024. While an increase of 1 percent was observed on an annual basis, there was a decrease of 14 percent on a monthly basis. Much of this decline is due to a decline in car sales in the UK. The German market showed a 12 percent increase in October, giving signs of recovery for the rest of the year. However, electric vehicle sales in Germany have decreased by 18 percent since the beginning of the year.
China remains the driving force
Chineseboth in October BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) as well as PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) broke new monthly records in sales. Chinese automobile giant BYD sold over 500,000 units in October. This represents an increase of 80,000 compared to the previous month. PHEV sales growth contributed to BYD’s strong performance. The Chinese manufacturer exported an average of 30,000 units in the last three months. Rho Motion Data Manager Charles Lester stated that the global electric vehicle market has accelerated again and record sales have been experienced in the last two months.
