The topic of fanfictions is often controversial among K-Pop fans. While some fanfictions are harmless stories written by loving fans as simply a show of their creativity and imagination, opinions are divided on the appropriateness and morality of more sexual-centered fanfictions.
Recently on Reddit, a fan collected data about K-Pop fanfictions off of one of the most popular and well-known sites for them, ArchiveOfOurOwn (better known as AO3). Through what they discovered, they were able to find out not only which K-Pop artists have the most fanfictions written about them, but also the average number of fics written about them each day. The ratings of the fanfictions weren’t included, so they range from innocent fluff to, presumably, hardcore smut.
Here are the 15 K-Pop groups who have, on average, the most new fanfictions written about them each day on AO3. Note that the data was collected on March 13.
1. BTS
BTS has had a total of 202,983 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 3,560 days ago, which gives an average of 57.0 new fics written per day.
2. Stray Kids
Stray Kids has had a total of 46,495 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 1,814 days ago, which gives an average of 25.6 new fics written per day.
3. NCT
NCT has had a total of 64,307 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 2,529 days ago, which gives an average of 25.4 new fics written per day.
4. EXO
EXO has had a total of 64,308 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 3,991 days ago, which gives an average of 16.1 new fics written per day.
5. SEVENTEEN
SEVENTEEN has had a total of 36,205 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 2,848 days ago, which gives an average of 12.7 new fics written per day.
6. ENHYPEN
ENHYPEN has had a total of 9,770 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 833 days ago, which gives an average of 11.7 new fics written per day.
7. ATEEZ
ATEEZ has had a total of 18,523 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 1,601 days ago, which gives an average of 11.6 new fics written per day.
8. TXT
TXT has had a total of 14,997 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 1,470 days ago, which gives an average of 10.2 new fics written per day.
9. GOT7
GOT7 has had a total of 15,552 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 3,343 days ago, which gives an average of 4.7 new fics written per day.
10. MONSTA X
MONSTA X has had a total of 12,974 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 2,860 days ago, which gives an average of 4.5 new fics written per day.
11. TWICE
TWICE has had a total of 9,350 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 2,701 days ago, which gives an average of 3.5 new fics written per day.
12. LONA
LOONA has had a total of 4,752 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 1,667 days ago, which gives an average of 2.9 new fics written per day.
13. THE BOYZ
THE BOYZ has had a total of 5,485 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 1,923 days ago, which gives an average of 2.9 new fics written per day.
14. Wanna One
Wanna One has had a total of 6,009 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 2,197 days ago, which gives an average of 2.7 new fics written per day.
15. TREASURE
TREASURE has had a total of 2,339 fanfictions written about them since they debuted 948 days ago, which gives an average of 2.5 new fics written per day.
