As artificial intelligence technologies develop, their usage areas also expand. Today, these technologies, which have begun to penetrate every aspect of life, have begun to be used by intelligence agencies for different purposes. According to the New York Times CIAuses chatbots that study and imitate the characters and past behavior of world leaders to gauge how they would react to different scenarios.

Analyzing and profiling world leaders’ past behavior to predict how they will behave in the face of certain events is a technique used by the CIA for years. These analyses, which have been done by analysts and psychoanalysts to date, can now be done on a much larger scale thanks to artificial intelligence.

CIA Confirms This Technology Is in Use

Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un, Xi Jinping CIA analysts, who have trained artificial intelligence using the data they have collected so far about leaders such as, can now better determine which strategy will be the most appropriate by presenting multiple alternatives of many different scenarios to these chatbots.

CIA chief technology officer Nand MulchandaniWhile confirming that this technology is in use, it left unanswered questions such as how or by whom it was developed. One of Mulchandani’s most important actions at the CIA was to make it much easier to cooperate with the private sector. Therefore, it is now thought that the private sector may have played an important role in the development of this project.
