The medium altitude air defense missile system HİSAR-, developed under the leadership of Aselsan and Roketsan, succeeded in hitting its target in the air with full accuracy in the test firing carried out with an infrared seeker head. President of the Presidency Defense Industry (SSB) Prof. Dr. In his post about the test firing on his X account, Haluk Görgün stated that they have successfully completed one of the mass production firing tests of the HİSAR-O air and missile defense system. Görgün said:

“This new generation system, which we continue to deliver to the Turkish Armed Forces inventory, hit long-range and high-altitude targets with full accuracy. We would like to thank all our subcontractors, especially ASELSAN, ROKETSAN and the personnel of our Presidency, who contributed to this proud success. Our country’s rise in defense technologies “It continues to grow stronger every day.”

HİSAR-O, which targets fixed-wing aircraft, rotary-wing aircraft, cruise missiles, UAVs and air-ground missiles, aims to protect military bases, ports, facilities and units from air threats. HİSAR-A and HİSAR-O are designed in a modular structure within the family integrity, compatible with different platform integrations and changing fire control and command control infrastructures.
