Digital Key The feature has been around for a while and several cars already support this function. Models from manufacturers such as Genesis, BMW and Kia give users the option to unlock their cars without using a key fob or physical key. Samsung today announced that Samsung Wallet’s Digital Key function will include Audi vehicles in the list of compatible manufacturers.

Samsung Wallet digital key feature comes to Audi vehicles

Samsungstates that digital keys can be shared with friends or family. Users can unlock, close and start their cars via Samsung Wallet. The app also provides a button to open the trunk. On the security point, the switch meets EAL6+ standards and uses UWB connectivity. If the user’s phone is stolen or lost, the key can be deactivated via the Samsung Find service.

Samsung Wallet Digital Key support for Audi vehicles will be available first in Europe this month. Samsung says that the digital key feature can be used with all models from the Galaxy S20 series to the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
