We delivered our 3rd general purpose helicopter, T625 GÖKBEY, to the Gendarmerie General Command. We will continue to write our name in the skies in all arenas with our T625 GÖKBEY, which we produced with local and national resources.” he said.

Shaped within the scope of the Unique Helicopter Program launched on June 15, 2010, T625 GÖKBEY was built based on the knowledge, experience, and talent pool gained during the ATAK Program. In addition to structural and avionic systems, the designs and production of critical systems such as transmission, rotor and landing gear are carried out entirely using domestic resources. T625 GÖKBEY will perform VIP, cargo, air ambulance, search and rescue and offshore transportation missions.

It was announced that the anticipated number of needs for GÖKBEY, which flew for the first time in 2018, was around 150 units. TAI General Manager Dr. Mehmet Demiroğlu stated that they planned to produce at least 500 GÖKBEY helicopters. The first GÖKBEY delivery took place on October 29, and the second delivery took place in December 2024.

By 2026, 2 GÖKBEYs will be delivered to the Gendarmerie, 7 to the Land Forces, 4 to the Air Force, 3 to the General Directorate of Security, 3 to the Coast Guard, and 3 to the Ministry of Health. For orders after 2026, domestic TEI-TS1400 engine variants will be used.
