In Cappadocia Technopark, which is established in a 7 thousand square meter closed area on the campus of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (NEVÜ), companies working in various fields from software to informatics, from defense industry to biotechnology, carry out value-added production.

Cappadocia Technopark General Manager Bilgin Yazlık said that their contribution to the city economy will continue to increase with the support given to entrepreneurs.

Emphasizing that technoparks have become centers preferred by entrepreneurs and companies with projects due to R&D incentives, Yazlık stated that the data obtained from the studies carried out last year surpassed previous years.

177 PEOPLE ARE EMPLOYED IN COMPANIES IN THE TECHNOPARK

Noting that tax incentives are offered to qualified personnel with undergraduate and technical high school graduates in the region, Yazlık said:

“We offer technology-based infrastructure services to entrepreneurs in a closed area of ​​7 thousand square meters. 13 of the 45 companies in the Technopark are companies founded by NEVÜ academics. As a mission, we attach importance to the realization of actual activities in the region. An income of approximately 300 million lira has been obtained in Cappadocia Technopark in the last 5 years. This income is Half of it was achieved in 2024. We believe that the capacity development of the companies in the region will go further in 2025. There is also an increase in export figures. Last year, exports amounted to 1 million 250 thousand dollars. Technopark has become a center of attraction for qualified personnel. There are 177 qualified people working in this region. “It is valuable in terms of encouraging it.”

Stating that they have started initiatives to expand the Cappadocia Technopark area, Yazlık said that they are planning to implement cluster studies that will bring together companies carrying out hot air balloon, pumice (a type of volcanic rock) and seed growing activities.

Yazlık noted that its doors are open to entrepreneurs of all ages who have an idea and want to realize their project, and that they organize training programs to increase the city’s potential in this direction.

ENTREPRENEURS ARE SATISFIED WITH THE OPPORTUNITIES OF THE TECHNOPARK

Yunus Emre Ata, one of the entrepreneurs operating in Cappadocia Technopark, stated that he was interested in software and established his own company under the roof of the technopark after receiving the necessary training.

Stating that he started his business life in this way, Ata said, “I applied with my project and received training on entrepreneurship and software. I get support from my installers and technopark management in my questions.” he said.

İsabella Atik emphasized that they are working on developing diagnostic kits for some diseases with the opportunities offered in Cappadocia Technopark and said, “We operate by receiving support within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1507 SME R&D Initial Support Program. While developing the projects in Cappadocia Technopark, we also receive support from Ahiler Development Agency and KOSGEB.” We take advantage of it easily.” he said.
