Elon Musk made an important statement for Tesla and xAI in his Path of Exile 2 broadcast last night on X, which he owns. Musk, “Grok is coming to Teslas soon. So talk to your Tesla and you will be able to ask anything” he said. However, Musk did not give any specific date.
Grok is a chatbot built by xAI on the model of the same name. Grok, a direct competitor of ChatGPT developed by OpenAI, is currently available for free on the X platform. It also has a special mobile application.
Grok currently serves with the “Grok 2” model. However, the new and much more advanced Grok 3 is also expected to be released soon. Last year, Musk said that this model would arrive by the end of 2024, but apparently there was a hitch in this schedule. In his previous statements, Musk said, “Grok 3 will be a big leap forward.”
It is currently unclear which version of Grok will be added to Tesla vehicles. It is also unclear whether this integration will only be at an application level or if it will be artificial intelligence deeply integrated into the vehicle. If Grok is added to Teslas with an application interface that can control in-car features rather than just answering questions, it would be a big deal.
