Farming operations in Europe were terminated. All Yanmar tractors to be used in Europe and Turkish countries will be produced in Turkey.
Besides production in Turkey Our Ge studies will also be carried out. The R&D center in Izmir will be Yanmar’s 7th R&D center in the world.

He underlined that our country is in a position to reach Europe, Asia and Africa with the advantage of its geopolitical location as well as its high population.
Kanbir said, “It was unthinkable for Yanmar not to be in such a market. Because Türkiye is the world’s 16th largest economy and 4th largest tractor market. It has a population of more than 80 million. Europe cannot even be compared to Türkiye with its aging population. With its geopolitical location, Türkiye is at a point where it can reach Europe, Asia and Africa. There is training and experienced personnel. All automotive giants produce here. That’s why everyone wants to be in this market and benefit from trained personnel. Yanmar is making long-term investments for 100 years. Türkiye is also in Yanmar’s second 100 years.” he said.
Agricultural equipment is also produced
Yanmar’s sub-brands YTAgri Agricultural equipment is produced in Turkey under the brand. The equipment produced is sent from Turkey to overseas countries such as Japan, Korea and Thailand.
Emphasizing the share of domestic equipment produced by YTAgri within Yanmar, Kanbir said, “We send equipment from Turkey to overseas countries such as Yanmar Japan, Yanmar Korea and Yanmar Thailand. This operation, which started with 9 thousand dollars in 2019, exceeded 10 million dollars last year. We have sold over 1,600 pieces of equipment since April. We export to more than 30 countries. Last year, Yanmar Türkiye alone accounted for 60 percent of Turkey’s agricultural equipment exports to Japan. There are 250 thousand Yanmar brand tractors in the world. “We want to give Yanmar equipment to all of them,” he said.
Yanmar will open a restaurant
Yanmar has its own restaurant in Japan. All ingredients, from tomatoes to wheat, used in this restaurant, which was established to support farmers, are purchased from farmers using Yanmar tractors. In Turkey in 2026 In the Yanmar Türkiye restaurant, which is planned to be operational, meals will be prepared with ingredients planted and harvested with Yanmar tractors in Turkey.
Autonomous tractor will be produced in Turkey
Solis brand tractors, Yanmar YM series and Yanmar SA series tractors are produced in the production facility in Izmir. Recently Yanmar YT series autonomous driving Tractors with this feature will also be produced. With these tractors, unmanned planting and harvesting will be possible on large lands, saving labor.
