Experts emphasized digital transparency, ethical stance and sustainability in the use of artificial intelligence
Emeritus Prof. from California State University. Dr. Nancy Snow, Prof. from Nebrija University, Spain. Dr. Carlos Galan Cordero and Trocadero Forum Institute (TFI) Founder Ellen Wasylina attended the fourth International Strategic Communication Forum (Stratcom Summit ’24) organized by the Presidential Directorate of Communications in Istanbul this year with the theme “Artificial Intelligence in Communication: Trends, Pitfalls and Transformation”. He answered the reporter’s questions.
Emeritus Prof. from California State University. Dr. Snow stated that the participation of experts from various countries demonstrated the Forum’s aim of bringing together people from different segments of society, and pointed out that the inclusion of representatives from different fields such as the government, private sector and non-profit organizations in Stratcom was another factor that impressed him.
Stating that he enjoyed serving a common purpose to develop a certain friendship and understanding, Snow stated that as someone who is generally afraid of the “why and how” of new technologies, he was pleased to express his ideas on this subject.
Snow emphasized the importance of taking responsibility in the field of artificial intelligence.
Stating that he met a lot of people at the Forum, Snow said that he was pleased with the opportunity to create an emotional bonding environment for the participants before discussing a common topic together.
Snow stated that it was a great privilege to attend the Forum and emphasized that it was his second time attending Stratcom and that it was an honor for him.

Cordero from the University of Nebrija, Spain, also pointed out the importance of being able to talk openly about the things that everyone struggles with within the walls, thanks to the Forum.
Referring to digital transparency, Cordero stated that they are experiencing problems with transparency in the use of artificial intelligence in his country and pointed out that this issue should be focused on.
“Countries need to work together and fight for digital transparency in artificial intelligence technology,” Cordero said. he said.
Describing the Forum as “incredible”, Cordero added that he benefited from many new experiences and knowledge by bringing different perspectives together.
TFI Founder Wasylina stated that she discussed the issue of artificial intelligence-supported cyber security in communication at the Forum and pointed out the importance of using artificial intelligence in the business world within the framework of ethical stance.
Stating that sustainability plays a critical role in the use of artificial intelligence, Wasylina stated that this issue is also important in the field of governance.
Wasylina stated that she attended the Forum for the second time and said that she was always welcomed very well in Turkey.
TFI Founder emphasized that Stratcom is an important place to meet new people and learn new things.
