The new Avatr 06 electric sedan, developed in partnership with Chinese Changan and CATL and receiving technology support from Huawei, has emerged. The model, which will be available in 100% electric (BEV) and range extender (EREV) versions, uses Huawei’s Qiankun driving assistant systems and Harmony operating system.

The brand’s design language called Avatr 2.0 was used in the electric sedan, which draws attention with its design. The aerodynamic body with a low and protruding nose, thin LED lighting and headlights skillfully hidden on the edges of the bumper stand out. At the bottom there are active air vents.

When we move to the side, the dual-color design rims, cameras on the front fenders, hidden door handles and glossy black pillars attract attention. The model, which has cameras instead of traditional side mirrors, has a Lidar sensor on the windshield.

The model, whose glass roof extends to the rear in a single-piece curved manner, does not have a rear window that offers a good viewing angle. For this reason, a camera was used at the end point of the glass ceiling. This camera transmits images to the interior rearview mirror. The spoiler integrated at the end of the trunk, LED tail lights and rear diffuser are among the design elements that attract attention in this area.

Avatr 06; It has a length of 4855 mm, a width of 1960 mm, a height of 1450 mm and a wheelbase of 2940 mm. Like other models of the brand, Changan uses the CHN platform developed in cooperation with Huawei and CATL.

The system in Avatr 07 is expected to be used in the model in question. In this context, we can expect 252 kW (338hp) in the single-engine version with rear-wheel drive and 440 kW (590hp) in the twin-engine version. The 82 kWh LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery will provide a range of around 650 kilometers, according to CLTC.

The EREV version also has two different versions: 231 kW (310hp) with rear-wheel drive and 362 kW (485hp) with all-wheel drive. What acts as a range extender in this model is the 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine. With a 39 kWh LFP battery, the total range of the model, which has a pure electric driving range of around 210 kilometers according to CLTC, is up to 1050 kilometers.

The new Avatr 06 sedan will be available in the first quarter of 2025. Sales of the Avatr brand are not as expected at the moment. The brand sold 45,445 cars in the January-November period, less than half of its annual target.
