Harry Potter TV Series Will Retell the Original Series
Francesca Gardiner, who previously worked as a screenwriter on TV series such as Succession and His Dark Materials, is preparing a more comprehensive adaptation of the original series, which has also been adapted to cinema. It is said that the series will remain quite faithful to the original work, at least in terms of story.
As a matter of fact, Gardiner announced yesterday that, unlike the movies, the ages of the characters in the series will be the same as in the books. This means that supporting characters such as Harry’s adoptive family and Severus Snape will be younger than in the film series.
Touching on the ongoing casting process, Francesca Gardiner announced that 32 thousand child actors have participated in the auditions so far to portray the three main characters of the series.
Although no statement has been made about the release date of the Harry Potter series, previous news stated that the series would be broadcast in 2027.
