In previous news, Johnny DeppIt was said that he was not part of these plans. However, it seems that plans have changed in the meantime. Because, according to the latest news, one of the scripts prepared by Disney focuses on a story in which Johnny Depp returns as Jack Sparrow.
A Script Featuring Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow Is Being Written
According to Variety, two parallel alternative scripts are currently being written for the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. In one of them, Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow character also returns. In the other, the story is told without him. This movie in question is thought to be a project starring Margot Robbie. Because the other project, which is expected to go on set next year, will literally be a reboot.
This news shows that Disney is now open to the idea of working with Johnny Depp again. Otherwise, the studio wouldn’t have commissioned a script involving Depp. The real question now is whether Depp will accept such an offer. The star actor said that he would not work with Disney again during the court process in which he confronted his ex-wife Amber Heard. However, since starring alongside Margot Robbie in a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie will reopen the doors of Hollywood for him, he may now have a more moderate attitude on this issue.
